Cisco Makes US$50 Mln Investment in China Communications Service

US Cisco has announced a US$50-million investment in CCS (China Communications Services), a Chinese network service provider, thereby becoming the largest foreign stakeholder in CCS. Other major stakeholders of the newly public CCS include China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom. Terms of the investment deal enable Cisco and CCS to jointly provide managed telecommunications services and new network solutions, such as IP infrastructures, digital video, and 3G platforms, to Chinese enterprise customers.
